We love our customers as much as we love our product, every day our customers reach out to us. Some need help with setup, some have warranty claims and some just want to tell us how much they love The Dash. And then, there are people like Dr. Marr, whose story makes us so happy we can’t stop smiling. Dr. Marr reached out to us to tell us about how The Dash got her out of a jam, helped her get into her locked car, saved her money and made sure she would make a flight she was almost certainly going to miss. She calls The Dash a “life saver.” We say it just did its job 😀
A couple of weeks ago Dr. Marr left her medical office early to pick up a few things from her apartment in downtown Orlando, Florida before she would have to catch a flight to St. Louis. She found a tight parking spot on the 5th floor of the massive parking structure next to her apartment and squeezed her car in. She got out to make sure she parked within the lines and satisfied with the parking job, she went back to the car only to realise that she had locked the door. The car was still running and her phone, purse and apartment keys were all safely locked in her car where she couldn’t get to them, and only a few hours before her scheduled flight.
“I could not believe I had done that. I was in shock,” Dr. Marr told us when we spoke to her a few days ago. It was still early in the day so there was nobody around that she could borrow a phone from so she just sat down defeated and prepared to miss the flight and the medical conference she was heading to, waiting for someone to come so she could call for help. At least she had The Dash in her ears, which was still connected to her phone, so she could continue enjoying the Kathy Griffin “Celebrity Run-Ins” audiobook.
The car was still running and her phone, purse and apartment keys were all safely locked in her car where she couldn’t get to them, and only a few hours before her scheduled flight.
“Wait a minute,” she then realised, “The Dash is still connected to the phone.” Dr. Marr tapped her cheek and heard the best words in the world – “What can I help you with doctor?” Yes! The Dash was still connected to her iPhone, so all she had to do was tell Siri to call her mom. 5 minutes later, her mom showed up at the garage with an extra set of car keys. In the end, Dr. Marr managed to make her flight and the medical conference. “It is possible, in my opinion, that The Dash will save lives. It didn’t save my life but it did help me in a way I never imagined it would,” Dr. Marr told us.
This made us truly happy. We love to hear from our customers and how they use their Bragi products. While talking with Dr. Marr she told us how much she is looking forward to the various ways she could use The Dash in her medical practice. She claims that the The 4D menu will help the paraplegic, blind and an infinite number of people.
Dr. Marr also let us in on how she fell in love with The Dash. One day while she was browsing through Kickstarter for innovative ideas The Dash caught her eye. This is what she has to say about why she went for The Dash:” I had a gut feeling after watching the video with Nikolaj Hviid on Kickstarter that The Dash was something special. I didn’t think twice and I became a backer. I never purchased any Bluetooth earphones from any other company because they were in my opinion too large, my ears get too hot with full coverage and the cord connecting some of them is exactly what I hated. The Dash is small, no hot ears, no cables to get tangled up in my hair, earrings, hands while working out and more. Boxes that I didn’t even know I had, had been checked off.”
“It didn’t save my life but it did help me in a way I never imagined it would”
However, she is most looking forward to the new The Dash Pro designed by Starkey. Dr. Marr finds herself treating a number of people from many different countries, since she works near the “Walt Disney World Resort,” and often people come in not understanding or speaking English, Spanish or Italian – the languages Dr. Marr speaks. However, she is convinced that The Dash Pro will help her communicate with patients she was not able to communicate before. “The itranslate integration will allow me to get information from the patient directly,” Dr. Marr tells us.
